What's on the mug
- 1Lettering
NEW YORK in small, plain dark blue capitals sits in the upper left of the front, with a grey star at its left.
- 2Crescent moon
A yellow crescent moon hangs above the tall tower, with a small blue star below it.
- 3Spired tower
A tall dark blue tower with a stepped body and a thin spire rises at the right of the front, beside a yellow building.
- 4Bridge
Dark blue bridge towers with sweeping cables stand at the left edge of the front and continue round onto the side.
- 5Yellow taxi
A yellow taxi with a lighter roof sign faces right along the bottom of the front, in front of a yellow building.
- 6Arch
A dark blue stone arch stands at the lower right of the front, to the left of the tall tower.
- 7Yellow star
A yellow four-pointed star sits above the taxi, one of several small stars in yellow, grey and blue.
- 8Bridge cables Side view
The bridge runs across most of the side in dark blue, with tall towers and cables slanting down to the left.
- 9Blue building Side view
A tall blue building with a rounded top stands in the left half of the side, beside a yellow tree.
- 10Yellow disc Side view
A yellow disc with a darker letter D stands near the bottom centre of the side.
- 11STARBUCKS wordmark Back view
STARBUCKS runs vertically up the back beside the handle, in black capitals.
- 12Statue of Liberty Back view
A yellow statue with a raised arm stands on a stepped base at the centre of the back, above blue waves.

A navy cloud with a small yellow star beside it floats in the upper right of the back.
- 14Grey round shape Back view
A grey round shape on a stem stands to the right of the statue, in front of a yellow building.
The photos show the front, one side and the back. The inside of the mug and the underside are out of view, so the inside colour and any base markings are not confirmed.
Collector notes
- The skyline wraps all the way round in navy, yellow and grey on white. NEW YORK is lettered on the front, the bridge fills the side, and the Statue of Liberty with its waves is on the back, so a photo from the back shows no place name at all.
- The STARBUCKS wordmark runs vertically up the back beside the handle. The photos do not show the inside of the mug, so we do not state its colour.
- Our checklist lists other New York mugs in other series (Discovery, Been There, Been There Christmas, Icon and Relief), plus New York City and New York University mugs. On this one the place name is the small plain NEW YORK, and the drawing is a flat navy, yellow and grey skyline.
