Starbucks × Hello Kitty (2025): The Collection, Its Prices and What Is Known About Demand
Starbucks and Hello Kitty put a collection into US and Canadian coffeehouses on November 6, 2025, to be sold while supplies lasted.1 It has six priced items, from a $24.95 acrylic cold cup to a $34.95 boxed plush, plus gift cards.1 It was not the first time the two brands met: Asia-Pacific stores had a Hello Kitty line more than a year earlier.2

Why Starbucks and Hello Kitty
The reason Starbucks gives is age and mood. Starbucks's Kap Pitarys says both brands were born in the 1970s, "Hello Kitty in 1974 and Starbucks in 1971."1 She adds that both focus on "nostalgia, human connection and bringing people together."1
Sanrio's Jill Koch is quoted in the same story on the character's longevity: "For more than 50 years, Hello Kitty has resonated across cultures and generations."1 The US story does not tie this collection to Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary. It says only "more than 50 years." The anniversary is named as the occasion for the earlier Asia-Pacific line, below.5
What is in the collection, and what each item cost
Starbucks says the collection "is anchored by tumblers, mugs and cold cups," with some "unexpected items" beside them.1 These are the US prices it published:
| Item | Size | US price |
|---|---|---|
| Boxed plush in a Starbucks green apron | not stated | $34.95 |
| Ceramic mug with a red silicone bow, boxed | 16 oz | $32.95 |
| Stainless steel cold cup | 26 oz | $32.95 |
| Stainless steel tumbler, Starbucks-green lid | 12 oz | $32.95 |
| Stainless steel water bottle | 20 oz | $29.95 |
| Acrylic cold cup with Hello Kitty and Tiny Chum | 24 oz | $24.95 |
Tiny Chum is Hello Kitty's teddy bear, and Starbucks puts the two together on the tumbler and the acrylic cold cup.1 The collection also has a Hello Kitty-shaped gift card, available with a load of $10 or more.1 We have no item page for the card.
The earlier line in Asia-Pacific
The 2025 US and Canada release followed a different Starbucks line by about fourteen months. On September 10, 2024, Starbucks Asia Pacific launched a Hello Kitty collection with seven drinkware items and six lifestyle accessories.2 Trade press called it "Starbucks' first-ever collaboration with the iconic Hello Kitty."2 It was sold in 13 markets across the region, a list that includes South Korea and Australia but not Japan, the US or Canada,5 and it celebrated Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary.5 Two drinks went with it, among them an Apple Pie Cream Frappuccino.2
We found no Starbucks Hello Kitty collection in the US or Canada before November 2025. The US story does not mention the Asia-Pacific line, and we do not know whether any items overlap.
Did it sell out?
Partly answered. The Hello Kitty collection arrived on the same day as the Bearista cup, which NRN says was "released on Nov. 6 along with a limited-edition Hello Kitty collection."3 The Bearista cup drew the crowds. A Fox station's coverage of the rush said the Hello Kitty plush was "also flying off shelves."4 A Starbucks spokesperson told NRN that "the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast," without saying which.3
That leaves the mug, tumblers, cold cups and bottle without a sourced answer. We found no report of them selling out, no purchase limit, and no resale prices we could verify. Retail Merchandiser reported that each item was available only while supplies lasted.6 An AOL article dated November 16, 2025 still described the collection as available to shop in the US and Canada.7
Starbucks's own list of 2026 holiday collections, published October 5, 2026, does not mention Hello Kitty.8 That is not proof the items are gone, and we could not open a store page to check.
If you are looking for one
Use the prices above as the reference. Starbucks sold the mug boxed and with a red silicone bow,1 and the tumbler with a Starbucks-green lid,1 so a listing that shows neither part is not the whole item. Each item page below says what we could see in our photo and what we could not confirm. Our guide to real and fake Bearista cups covers the same questions for the cup that launched on the same day.
